Weather Alert: Tashkent and Namangan regions (Uzbekistan), Hydrometeorology Agency of Uzbekistan has Reported an Increased Danger of Avalanches

Location: Tashkent and Namangan regions, Uzbekistan

Event: The Hydrometeorology Agency of Uzbekistan has reported an increased danger of avalanches in the Tashkent and Namangan regions due to a large amount of expected precipitation in these areas from February 8-12. The specific districts affected in the Tashkent region are the Akhangaran, Bostanlyk, and Parkent districts (Chatkal mountain system) and the Pap district in Namangan.

Please exercise caution if visiting these areas between February 8-12.

The U.S. Embassy in Tashkent is operating normally.
