Demonstration Alert: London (United Kingdom), Pride Parade Expected June 29

The 2024 Pride in London Parade will take place Saturday June 29 and will require road closures and parking restrictions throughout London.  U.S. citizens are encouraged to monitor local transportation information, visit Pride in London for the full parade route and information on potential disruptions, and coordinate travel routes accordingly.  Multiple other events—including concerts and large gatherings—will take place this weekend in celebration of Pride Month.  U.S. citizens are encouraged to monitor local media, review full public transport information (Transport for London), and stay alert in locations frequented by tourists, including Pride celebrations.

  

Actions to Take:  

·        Monitor local media for updates

·        Review the Department of State’s May 17 Worldwide Caution

·        Be aware of your surroundings 

·        Review your personal security plans 

·        Make contingency plans should you need to leave an area 

·        Enroll in Safe Traveler Enrollment Program (STEP) to receive travel and security updates
