Security Alert: United Arab Emirates, June 22, 2025

The U.S. Mission to the United Arab Emirates continues to monitor regional developments. For the latest Travel Advisory and other recent security messages for U.S. citizens in the UAE, visit travel.state.gov . The U.S. Embassy in Abu Dhabi and Consulate General in Dubai have not changed their security posture and remain fully operational.

Actions to Take:

  •  Review the Department’sTravel Advisory  and other recent security alerts  for U.S. citizens in the UAE.
  •  Be aware of your surroundings and keep a low profile.
  •  Monitor local media and follow instructions from UAE authorities.
  •  Exercise caution and stay alert at locations publicly associated with the United States.
  •  Prepare a plan for emergency situations and review ourTraveler’s Checklist .
  •  Contact your airline if your flight plans are disrupted.
  •  Enroll in the Department of State’sSmart Traveler Enrollment Program  (STEP) to receive information and alerts and make it easier to locate you in an emergency.
