Security Alert: Ankara (Türkiye), Attack on Turkish Aerospace Industries on October 23

The U.S. Embassy in Ankara is aware of reports of an attack on the Turkish Aerospace Industries, Inc. (TUSAS) facility in Ankara’s Kahramankazan district, and an ongoing response by security personnel. The location is approximately 40 kilometers northwest of the U.S. Embassy. Such events can prompt increased security presence and measures throughout the country.

Actions to take:

Avoid the area.
Pay attention to local news for updates.
Obey all instructions from law enforcement and security personnel.
Register at https://mytravel.state.gov/s/step for updates from the U.S. Embassy and Consulates.
