Cellular service is largely operational, though intermittent issues with voice and data connectivity may occur. Spanish authorities have asked the public to avoid unnecessary travel and only use their cell phones for short calls today.

As of 10:00 a.m. on April 29, the status of Spanish transportation systems are as follows:
Airports: All airports in Spain are operating. AENA is asking travelers to check with their airlines for flight status, as there may be disruptions to access and ground transportation. Travelers can check @aena on X.com for the latest updates to airport operations.
Trains: Roughly 50% of regional trains in Madrid are currently operating. Most regional trains in other cities remain offline. Rodalies train service in the Barcelona area is suspended. See this Renfe link for updates on regional train service.
High-speed rail: Some major routes have returned to service, though many routes remain offline. Passengers should check this Renfe link or their carrier for the latest updates on train service.
Subways: Subway service is mostly operating, with media reporting that some subway lines might not be fully operational in Valencia.
Buses: Buses are running in most parts of Spain, but there may be delays due to the high volume of passengers.
