Security Alert: Gunfire Reported in Juba (South Sudan), November 21

Event: U.S. Embassy Juba reports gunfire in the vicinity of the embassy. Embassy personnel have been instructed to shelter in place.

Actions to take:

Monitor local media for updates.
Exercise caution if unexpectedly in the vicinity of large gatherings or protests.
Notify friends and family of your safety.
Be aware of your surroundings.
Review your personal security plans and keep your cell phone charged in case of emergencies.
