Demonstration Alert: Slovakia, Nationwide Demonstrations Expected on March 7

Message: Notice for U.S. Citizens: Thousands to Demonstrate Across Slovakia on March 7; Counter demonstrations possible.

Location: Freedom Square, Bratislava, other locations around Slovakia

Time: 5.00 PM

Event: Nationwide demonstrations are expected on Friday, March 7 organized by "Peace for Ukraine."  Additional demonstrations will take place in multiple cities across the country, with tens of thousands expected to participate.  Counter demonstrations are possible.  The main event will occur in Bratislava at Freedom Square at 5:00 PM.

Actions to Take:

-Avoid demonstrations, if possible;
-Be cautious of your surroundings and practice situational awareness at all times;
-Monitor local media for updates;
-Stay aware of spontaneous counter-protests;
-If altercations or violence occurs, remove yourself and any family/group members from the area immediately to a safe location (police officer, known public area, etc.);
-Set a predetermined time and location to meet with friends and family should you become separated.
