Beginning May 4, the Government of Portugal replaced the State of Emergency with a State of Calamity for 15 days.
New general measures:
- Mandatory use of masks in crowded, closed spaces (e.g. public transportation, schools, supermarkets, stores).
- All events with over 10 people are prohibited.
- Family members are authorized to attend funerals.
- Residents of Portugal have a “civic duty” to stay home unless there is a justified reason.
