U. S. citizens arriving in the Azores and Madeira Islands will be placed in a mandatory quarantine in a hotel for 14 days before being admitted, no matter the duration of travel on the islands. Travelers must pay for all associated costs of this quarantine (e.g. lodging).
Mandatory quarantine in the Azores and Madeira is applicable to all travelers, whether they are visitors, residents, or Portuguese citizens.
