Demonstration Alert: U.S. Embassy Warsaw (July 3, 2024)

Locations: Plac Defilad, near the Palace of Culture and Science and U.S. Embassy and proceeding to the Prime Minister’s Chancellery

Event:

Two demonstrations are expected to take place in Warsaw on July 4 and 6.

· Friday, July 4: A demonstration in support of Palestine is scheduled to take place at Plac Defilad, near the Palace of Culture and Science. It will start at 7:00 p.m. and is expected to end at 10:00 p.m. Organizers anticipate 1,000 participants.

· Sunday, July 6: A demonstration protesting U.S. and Israeli policies toward Iran is planned. It will begin at 1:00 p.m. in front of the U.S. Embassy and proceed to the Prime Minister’s Chancellery. The event is expected to last until 3:00 p.m., with organizers anticipating 300 participants.

Police expect both demonstrations to be peaceful, although the possibility for demonstrations to escalate always exists.
