Event:  Due to heightened concern about the threat of kidnapping, the Embassy has modified its security posture to require armored vehicles for all travel of mission personnel.

Actions to Take:

• Review the current Travel Advisory for Niger.
• Stay alert in locations frequented by tourists/foreigners.
• Review your personal security plans.
• Be aware of your surroundings.
• Use caution when walking or driving at night.
• Keep a low profile.
