Health Alert: New Zealand, Embassy Work from Home Decision

At today’s COVID-19 press conference (Thursday, November 12, 2020), the government of New Zealand requested that all individuals whose workplaces are in downtown Auckland work from home on Friday, November 13, if possible. Based on this guidance, the U.S. Consulate General Auckland will be closed on Friday, November 13.

We anticipate reopening on Monday, November 16 as normal, unless instructed otherwise by the New Zealand government.  If this happens, we will send out another message and inform applicants that their appointments will be rescheduled. For now, the appointments on Monday will continue as planned.

If you have an emergency that cannot wait until the next business day, please find contact information below. You may also write to AucklandACS@state.gov with “URGENT” in the subject line.
