The Government of Sint Maarten and Government of the Netherlands have issued Tropical Storm Watches for Sint Maarten, Saba, and Sint Eustatius in anticipation of Tropical Storm Laura currently located 230 miles east southeast of the Northern Leeward Islands moving west.
Actions to Take:
- Monitor the local news for updates.
- Those in areas prone to flooding on or near the coast should finalize preparations to protect life and property.
- Avoid entering the sea as the storm may produce life threatening surf and rip current conditions.
- Visit the Facebook pages for the Governments of Sint Maarten, Saba, and Sint Eustatius to follow the latest updates and receive directions from local officials.
