Location: Multiple locations throughout Amsterdam
Event: We are aware of several demonstrations planned to occur in central locations across the City of Amsterdam – such as Dam Square and Museum Square – from Wednesday, March 18 through Saturday, March 22. This includes a protest near the U.S. Consulate General beginning at 4:00 p.m. on March 21 directed against U.S. Israel/Gaza policy. While demonstrations may be peaceful, they always have the potential to escalate and could result in vandalism or become dangerous.
Additional Actions You Can Take Include:
- Avoid the areas of the demonstration.
- Exercise caution and exit the area if unexpectedly in the vicinity of large gatherings or protests.
- Be aware of your surroundings.
- Keep a low profile.
- Heed instructions and view updates from Dutch police (https://www.politie.nl/).
- Call 112 to reach the police if you face an emergency or threatening situation.
