Demonstration Alert: The Hague (Netherlands), Protest Blockade Expected September 14

Location:  The Hague, areas along the A12 highway

Event:  A large demonstration is expected to take place in The Hague on Saturday, September 14 starting at 12:00 p.m.  Organizers from Extinction Rebellion reportedly plan to blockade part of the A12 highway (Utrechtsebaan) near the Malieveld, with the potential to significantly disrupt traffic and movement in the immediate area.  The demonstration will coincide with a planned police strike on September 14, 2024.  

Actions to Take: 

• Avoid the areas of the demonstrations. 
• Be aware of your surroundings. 
• Keep a low profile. 
• Exercise caution if unexpectedly in the vicinity of large gatherings or protests.
