Demonstration Alert: Amsterdam (Netherlands), Anti-Immigrant Demonstration Scheduled on October 12

Location: Museumplein Area, Amsterdam

Event: On October 12, a large anti-immigration demonstration and march are scheduled from 1:00 pm to 5:00 pm beginning at Museumplein in Amsterdam. The demonstration will start at Museumplein at 1:00pm, with a march planned passing north of Vondelpark, through Oud-Zuid neighborhood, and returning to Museumplein.

A recent protest in the Netherlands on this issue escalated to involve violence and destruction of property. U.S. citizens are advised to avoid areas of demonstrations and exercise caution, especially if unexpectedly in the vicinity of large gatherings or crowds.
