Demonstration Alert: Tribhuvan and Pokhara Airport Open – Curfew in Place – U.S. Embassy Kathmandu, Nepal (September 10, 2025)

Event: The Army has deployed and has a curfew in place. The Civil Aviation Authority of Nepal has announced that Tribhuvan International Airport in Kathmandu and Pokhara International airports are open.

Actions to take:

Continue sheltering in place until further notice
Refrain from outside movements except for emergencies.
Contact airlines to confirm that flights have not been rescheduled or cancelled before moving to the airport.
Await further updates and stay in communication with your airline provider.
