District Administration Office, Kathmandu has announced a curfew order in following areas from 0830hrs, 09 September 2025 until further notice with restriction on movement, gathering, protest, assembly, meeting, encircling in the following areas:
Within the Kathmandu Metropolitan City Ring Road area: The entire area within the ring road from Balkumari Bridge of Kathmandu Metropolitan City, through Koteshwor Chowk, Sinamangal, Gaushala, Chabahil, Narayan Gopal Chowk, Gongabu, Balaju, Swayambhu, Kalanki, Balkhu to the Bagmati River Bridge.
Within Lalitpur: The Bhaisepati Area (Ward No. 4, 18, and 25), Sanepa Indrayani Area (Ward No. 2), and Chyasal Area (Ward No. 9).
Within Bhaktapur: The Jadibuti-Radheradhe-Balkot-Pepsicola Area.
Please avoid crowds, consider alternate routes/times to avoid potential disruptions, and stay alert for changing conditions. Additionally, while the U.S. Embassy will remain open, routine consular operations at the U.S. Embassy have been cancelled for this afternoon.
