Message to U.S. Citizens: Burma (Myanmar) Advisory Remains at Level 4 (Do Not Travel)

The Department of State renewed its Travel Advisory for Burma on June 6, 2024. The State Department advises travelers not to travel to Burma.

Burma – Level 4: Do Not Travel

Do not travel to Burma due to civil unrest, armed conflict, and arbitrary enforcement of local laws. Reconsider travel to Burma due to limited and/or inadequate healthcare and emergency medical resources, and areas with land mines and unexploded ordnances. Exercise increased caution due to the potential for wrongful detentions.
