Location: Paseo de la Reforma, near U.S. Embassy and Angel de la Independencia


Event: Two spontaneous pro-Palestine demonstrations have developed tonight in Mexico City, one of which includes 600 people that were headed toward the Angel de la Independencia on Paseo de la Reforma.  The group contains anarchists that are known to use violence and vandalize property.  It is unknown if more protests will materialize.  U.S. citizens should avoid the area tonight.

 

Actions to Take:

  • Demonstrations can be unpredictable; avoid areas around protests and demonstrations.
  • Monitor local media for updates.
  • Follow the directions of local authorities and in case of emergency, call 911.
