Demonstration Alert: Bamako (Mali), 14 November

Location: Gathering at the Monument de la Paix – Bamako, Mali

Event: U.S. Embassy Bamako has received a report that there is a gathering at the Monument de la Paix in Bamako, Mali.  As of approximately 17:00 local time, there are approximately 300 people in attendance.  Traffic has been affected around this site.

Please be aware that travel through this area might be an issue and alternate routes should be considered when possible.

Actions to Take:

Avoid crowds and practice personal awareness.
Monitor local media for updates.
