The Government of Madagascar has extended the state of health emergency until Sunday, May 17.
The Government of Comoros confirmed its first case of COVID-19 on May 1. As of May 5, four cases were confirmed. Restrictions put in place include: No international or domestic flights, No inter-island travel, Curfew from 8pm to 5am, Must wear masks in public. Restrictions remain on public gatherings, including weddings and funerals (family and local community members only). No Friday prayers (which are the largest prayers) at the mosque.
