Health Alert: Luxembourg, Face Coverings Required for Emergency Consular Services

The Consular Section of the U.S. Embassy in Luxembourg continues to provide only emergency services on a case-by-case basis.  Any person entering a consular section in Mission Luxembourg for an emergency service will be required to wear a face covering; children under six years old and those unable to wear a covering are exempted.   

 

The Luxembourg government continues to ease movement restrictions and reopen some businesses.  U.S. citizens are reminded to follow all federal, state, and local laws and regulations.  Please reference the Luxembourg Ministry of Health COVID-19 website here for the country’s exit strategy and the latest guidance on conditions in Luxembourg. 

 

The Department of State maintains a Global Level 4 Health Advisory for COVID-19 advising Americans not to travel internationally unless returning to the United States from abroad. 

 

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) has issued a Level 2 Global COVID-19 Outbreak Notice and a Level 3 Warning for COVID-19 in Europe.
