A sit-in protest in front of the U.S. Embassy is expected to take place this Saturday, January 20 at 2:30 p.m. related to the Israel-Hamas conflict. The demonstration is expected to continue on Place Clairefontaine at 3:30 p.m. U.S. citizens are advised to avoid the area and exercise caution in the vicinity.
Local police will be present to monitor the demonstration. Historically in Luxembourg, gatherings of this type have been peaceful and orderly; however, demonstrations can quickly become unpredictable.
