Health Alert: Lithuania, Update on Flights and Ferries

Location:  Lithuania

Event:  

International commercial flight options are limited to this weekend only going to Minsk. There are attempts to approve charter flights next week. We will inform you upon receiving notification. Ferry travel is still possible to Kiel and it is possible to transit to Tallinn by land; however, please call us to discuss the requirements. 

Smart Traveler Enrollment Program (STEP) is important for receiving information from the U.S. Embassy. Interested citizens can enroll at https://step.state.gov/ .   

For emergency American Citizens Services, including emergency passports, please write or call (consec@state.gov ; +370-5-266-5600 during working hours 10-12, 14-16 Monday through Friday).

 

UPDATE ON FLIGHTS AND FERRIES: APRIL 4 AND LATER 

Vilnius Airport 

Belavia’s flights from Vilnius to Minsk have been suspended at least until April 14th, but the following flights were given the exception and are on schedule: 

·        April 4: B2804 departing Vilnius at 18:40, arriving Minsk at 19:15 

·        April 5: B2804 departing Vilnius at 20:40, arriving Minsk at 21:15 

 

Charter flights on Avion Express: 

·        April 6: Oslo – Vilnius pending confirmation. 

·        April 7: Dublin – Vilnius pending confirmation. 

·        April 7: London – Vilnius pending confirmation. 

 

Listed below are the dates when the commercial airlines are anticipating on resuming the flights: 

·        April 12 - LOT flights from Vilnius to Warsaw; 

·        April 14 – Belavia flights from Vilnius to Minsk; 

·        April 20 - Scandinavian Airlines flights from Vilnius to Stockholm and Copenhagen; 

·        April 20 - Lufthansa flights from Vilnius to Frankfurt; 

·        April 20 – Brussels Airlines flights from Vilnius to Brussels; 

·        April 25 – Austrian Airlines flights from Vilnius to Vienna; 

·        April 25 - Ukrainian Airlines flights from Vilnius to Kyiv; 

·        May 1 - Turkish Airlines flights from Vilnius to Istanbul; 

·        May 1 - Air Baltic flights from Vilnius to Riga and other destinations; 

·        May 1 - Aeroflot flights from Vilnius to Moscow; 

·        May 1 - Norwegian flights from Vilnius to Oslo; 

·        May 1 - Wizzair flights from Vilnius to multiple destinations; 

·        May 8 (possibly June) - Ryanair flights from Vilnius to multiple destinations; 

·        July 1 - Finnair flights from Vilnius to Helsinki. 

 

Kaunas Airport 

Listed below are the dates when the commercial airlines are anticipating on resuming the flights: 

·        April 13 - LOT flights from Kaunas to Warsaw; 

·        May 1 - Wizzair flights from Kaunas to multiple destinations; 

·        May 2 - Norwegian flights from Kaunas to Oslo. 

·        May 8 (possibly June) - Ryanair flights from Kaunas to multiple destinations; 

 

Palanga Airport 

Listed below are the dates when the commercial airlines are anticipating on resuming the flights: 

·        April 20 – Scandinavian Airlines flights from Palanga to Copenhagen; 

·        May 1 - Air Baltic flights from Palanga to Riga; 

·        May 1 - Norwegian flights from Palanga to Oslo; 

·        May 9 (possibly June)- Ryanair flights from Palanga to London Stansted and Dublin; 

·        July 1 - LOT flights from Palanga to Warsaw. 

 

Klaipeda - Ferries 

Regular travelers are not allowed to travel on the ferry Klaipeda – Karlshamn – Klaipeda. 

DFDS ferries are scheduled to operate the following routes on April 4: 

·        DFDS ferry Klaipeda – Kiel, departing Klaipeda at 22:00.
