Weather Alert: Reykjavik (Iceland), Orange Warning for Heavy Snowfall Declared, October 28

Event: The National Meteorological Service has declared an orange warning for heavy snowfall in the Reykjavik area starting at 2:00pm. Chance of heavy snowfall or sleet with poor visibility is predicted. Considerable transport disruptions can be expected. People are encouraged to be careful and follow the weather forecast, advised to stay home or seek shelter and follow updates on the weather forecast at the Icelandic Met Office’s webpage, http://www.en.vedur.is  as well as https://umferdin.is/en  for road conditions.
