Event: Sporadic Gunfire in Kaloum (Downtown) Area
The U.S. Embassy reports sporadic gunfire through the morning in the Kaloum area of Conakry, particularly in the areas of Camp Camayenne and November 8 Bridge. The entrances to Kaloum are currently closed, and U.S. citizens are advised to avoid these areas.

- Avoid demonstrations and crowds.
- Monitor local media for breaking events and be prepared to adjust your plans
- Keep travel documents up to date and easily accessible.
- Have evacuation plans that do not rely on U.S. government assistance.
