Event: Ghana’s Restrictions on Movement Extended to April 20
On April 9, 2020, Ghanaian President Akufo-Addo announced that he was extending the restrictions on movement for the Greater Accra and Greater Kumasi metropolitan areas until Monday, April 20. The U.S. Embassy has similarly extended the duration of its own reduced-movement and maximum telework posture to April 20 to align with that of the Ghanaian government. We encourage all Americans in Ghana to follow the Government of Ghana’s directives in their effort to “flatten the curve." · Review the President of Ghana’s speech announcing the extension.
