Health Alert: Croatia, Inter-County Travel Ban December 23 Through January 8

The Croatian government has banned travel between counties from December 23 through January 8 to reduce the spread of COVID-19. This ban does not include movement between Zagreb county and Zagreb city. 

The following individuals are permitted to travel between counties without a pass:

  • Individuals employed in transportation or necessary for maintaining traffic
  • Employees in health care, veterinary care, or the delivery of medicine or sanitary goods
  • Security services
  • Journalists
  • Patients who require medical attention
  • Employees who are not able to telework for their job
  • Diplomats

All other individuals will require a pass to cross county lines. Individuals who already booked reservations at hotels or holiday homes will be granted passes. To apply for a pass, email propusnice@rdd.gov.hr or go to https://epropusnice.gov.hr.

Global Health and Travel Advisories:  The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) has issued a Level 4: Very High Level of COVID-19 in Croatia travel advisory.  The Department of State has issued a Level 3: Reconsider Travel health advisory for Croatia.
