Security Alert: Zagreb (Croatia), Potential for Clashes and Traffic Near Stadium September 13

Location:  Zagreb, Croatia

Event:  The SuperSport Croatian Football League match between GNK Dinamo and HNK Hajduk will take place on Friday, September 13, at 20:00 at Maksimir City Stadium in Zagreb.  Local police have declared the event high risk because of the potential for violent clashes between fans in and around the stadium.  Expect traffic congestion, enhanced police presence in the city, and increased security measures around the stadium.  U.S. embassy personnel have been advised to avoid the area out of an abundance of caution.
