Security Alert: National Protests Across Colombia (May 28 - 29, 2025)

- Monteria
- Pereira
- Yopal
- Sincelejo
Event: The President of Colombia has called for two days of national protests supported by some labor unions and a number of social organizations from May 28th through May 29th. Protestors are expected to block major thoroughfares, affecting transportation and mobility.
In Bogota, this action may disrupt traffic, as well as gate and street access to the Embassy. The Embassy will be open. If you must travel to the Embassy, allow extra time to arrive.

- Avoid demonstrations
- Exercise caution while out on the streets
- Plan on extra time if you are coming to the Embassy
- Stay alert
- Be aware of your surroundings and belongings
- Monitor local media for updates
