As of 10:00 a.m. on March 31, Cambodia has a total of 109 confirmed cases of COVID-19. On March 27, the U.S. Centers for Disease Control (CDC) issued a Level 3 Global COVID-19 Pandemic Notice recommending that travelers avoid all non-essential international travel due to high risk and widespread and ongoing transmission. On March 19, the U.S. Department of State issued a Global Level 4 Health Advisory (Do Not Travel).
Cambodia Entry Requirements
On March 27, the Government of Cambodia announced its intention to suspend all visa free entry and the issuance of all e-visas and visas-on-arrival for all foreigners for a period of one month, effective March 31.
For urgent travel during the suspension period, all foreigners are now required to obtain a visa in advance. If a visa is issued, the foreign traveler must provide a medical certificate no more than 72 hours prior to the date of travel certifying s/he has not tested positive for COVID-19. In addition, the foreign traveler must provide proof of insurance with a minimum medical coverage of $50,000 for the duration of stay.
Notice on Flights for American Citizens Seeking to Depart Cambodia:
All American Citizens seeking to return to the United States are encouraged to book flights while commercial flights are still an option.
As of March 30, the following airlines depart Cambodia for onward connecting flights to the United States. Many travelers worldwide have reported unexpected flight cancellations and limited flight availability. Please check airline websites for times and availability and do not book flights through an online search service. We recommend booking flights through a travel agency or directly with the below airlines.
