Health Alert: Burkina Faso, Government Confirms COVID-19 Cases; Repatriation Flight to United States Departing Tonight

Health Alert: U.S. Embassy Ouagadougou, Burkina Faso (March 25, 2020)

 

Location:  Burkina Faso

 

Event: The Burkina Faso Ministry of Health confirmed 114 cases of COVID-19 in Burkina Faso.  

 

On March 14, the Department of State authorized the departure from any diplomatic or consular post in the world of US personnel and family members who have been medically determined to be at higher risk of a poor outcome if exposed to COVID-19.  Embassy Ouagadougou arranged a repatriation flight to the United States, departing Ouagadougou tonight, en route to Washington D.C. Dulles Airport.  At this time, we are not able to include additional passengers on the flight.  Only persons who received email confirmations will be allowed boarding.
