Reconsider travel to Brunei due to COVID-19-related travel restrictions.
Read the Department of State’s COVID-19 page before you plan any international travel.
The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) has issued a Level 1 Travel Health Notice for Brunei for COVID-19, indicating a low level of COVID-19 in the country. Brunei currently requires U.S. citizens to obtain permission and sponsorship before entering due to COVID-19. Furthermore, travelers arriving indirectly from the United States are subject to a 14-day quarantine and at least one COVID-19 test at the traveler’s expense. Visit the Embassy's COVID-19 page for more information on COVID-19 in Brunei.
Read the country information page.
