Health Alert: Bangladesh, Bangladesh Added to CDC’s Traveler’s Health Notice on Chikungunya

Event: The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) added Bangladesh to the Level 2 – Practice Enhanced Precautions Traveler’s Health Notice for Chikungunya in the Region of the Indian Ocean . More information is available on the CDC’s Chikungunya webpage .

Actions to Take: 

• Visit the CDC  Travelers Health Page.
• Refer to our list of medical providers and seek medical treatment if experiencing any warning signs or any symptoms that cause you concern.
• Check with your travel insurance provider  about medical evacuation options should you fall ill while overseas.
• Consult the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention for traveler’s health notice advisories or call CDC  at 800-232-4636 or 404-639-3534.
