Location: Vienna 9th District, including the area around the U.S. Embassy.

Events:

Tomorrow, January 19, 2024, there will be a “Solidarity with the Palestinian People” rally starting at 3:30 p.m. in Votivpark (next to Votivkirche in the 9th district) with up to 200 people expected. The rally will transition to a march down Währinger Strasse to the U.S. Embassy compound, likely between 4:30 p.m. and 5:00 p.m. Police will escort and monitor demonstrators, who will likely end the march at the Boltzmanngasse-Strudlhofgasse intersection. Demonstrators are expected to be at this intersection from around 5:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m. U.S. Embassy employees and family members have been advised to avoid the demonstration areas and consider re-scheduling activities at the Embassy compound, if possible, to avoid traffic delays.
