Event: On Wednesday, October 2, 2024, various academic organizations, political parties, unions, and social organizations are calling for demonstrations across Argentina related to funding for public universities. Demonstrations are usually nonviolent but have the potential to turn confrontational. The U.S. Embassy recommends avoiding downtown Buenos Aires, particularly the areas surrounding the Casa Rosada and Congress.
