Health Alert: Argentina, Updated Information On Repatriation Flights

Location:  Argentina 


Event:  Only sporadic and specially approved international flight options currently exist in Argentina. The Embassy continues to communicate any information regarding future flights as soon as it is available.  


The following flights are not U.S. government-operated or funded flights. Please direct all questions regarding these flights and the eligibility to purchase tickets to the airline. 


  • There are still seats remaining on the Eastern Airlines flight from Buenos Aires to Miami, Florida on Friday, June 5, at 11:30 a.m. from Ministro Pistarini International Airport (Ezeiza). U.S. citizens interested in departing on this flight will need to book directly with Eastern Airlines. *This flight is subject to change.*

  • Latam Airlines has announced it will operate a flight from Buenos Aires to Santiago, Chile on Friday, June 5, at 1:30 p.m. from Ministro Pistarini International Airport (Ezeiza). U.S. citizens interested in departing on this flight will need to book directly with Latam Airlines (https://latam.com). *The flight is subject to change.*  


U.S. citizens can transit Santiago with an onward flight. You should be prepared to stay in the airport for the duration of your connection time. Please visit U.S. Embassy Santiago’s webpage on COVID-19 for more information. 

 

If you purchased a flightand have not done so already, email buenosaires-acs@state.gov with the following information to facilitate your movement to Ministro Pistarini International Airport (Ezeiza). The subject line of your e-mail should read “Overland Travel Itinerary.” 

 

  • Place of origin 

  • Date/Time of departure from place of origin 

  • Make and model of vehicle 

  • License plate number 

  • Name of driver (and DNI if Argentine citizen) 

  • Name of each passenger and passport number 

  • Route to Buenos Aires (if you are traveling from the provinces) 

  • Hotel Reservation in Buenos Aires (if you are staying overnight after traveling from the provinces)
