Demonstration Alert: Warsaw (Poland), Demonstration Planned Near U.S. Embassy in Warsaw on January 9

On Friday, January 9, 2026, a scheduled demonstration from 11:00 A.M. to 3:00 P.M. is set to take place in Warsaw.

Farmers and their supporters will gather at Plac Defilad in front of the Palace of Culture and Science and walk via the following streets: Aleje Jerozolimskie, Nowy Świat, Plac Trzech Krzyży, Aleje Ujazdowskie, Matejki, Wiejska (in front of the Parliament) and Piekna to finish at Aleje Ujazdowskie in front of the Prime Minister’s Chancellery.

Police expect approximately 5,000 people to take part in this demonstration. The protest may impact traffic in the surrounding areas. The demonstration is expected to be peaceful, although the possibility for demonstrations to escalate always exists. In the event of an emergency, call 1-1-2 for Polish Emergency Services.
