The U.S. Embassy is aware of planned and spontaneous demonstrations in conjunction with recent developments in the Middle East that may occur in Surabaya on March 13, 2026, between the hours of 12:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m. Even demonstrations intended to be peaceful can turn confrontational and escalate quickly.
Local authorities may increase security measures, including road closures, traffic restrictions, or increased police presence in areas where demonstrations occur.
