Location: Kinshasa, Democratic Republic of the Congo
Event: A peaceful demonstration in support of U.S. sanctions on former President Kabila is expected Saturday morning, May 2. The procession will begin 9:30 a.m. from Boulevard Triomphal and proceed toward the U.S. Embassy around 11:00 a.m. While expected to remain peaceful, demonstrations in Kinshasa can escalate with little warning. Expect congestion from crowds and motorcyclists; limit movement in the area and use alternate routes.
