Routine Message: Consular Agency Salvador Temporary Closure February 27, 2026 – March 13, 2026

Consular Agency Salvador will be temporarily closed from February 27, 2026, through March 13, 2026. Routine American Citizen Services, including Consular Reports of Birth Abroad, passport applications, and notarial services, will not be available during this period. U.S. citizens in Salvador or Bahia who require emergency assistance should contact the U.S. Consulate General in Rio de Janeiro. The Consulate is located at Avenida Presidente Wilson, 147, Centro, Rio de Janeiro – RJ, 20030-020.
