Health Alert: Peru, New COVID-19 Testing and Quarantine Requirements for International Arrivals

Government of Peru Implements New COVID Testing and Quarantine requirements for International Arrivals, Peru (January 1, 2021)

From January 1, 2021 to January 3, 2021, Peruvian health officials will administer a COVID-19 antigen test to all passengers arriving on flights originating from countries where new variants of the virus have been identified, including the United States.  Passengers arriving from other countries will be tested at random.  Peruvian health authorities will require that passengers who test positive quarantine at the Pan American Village or other temporary isolation center for 14 days.  The U.S. government will have very limited access to U.S. citizens in temporary isolation centers.

Starting January 4, 2021, all travelers arriving to Peru must quarantine for 14 days at their home, in the Pan American Village or other temporary isolation center, or in a lodging, after coordination with Peruvian health authorities.
