Event: At 3:00am local time, Tropical Cyclone GEZANI was located 290km east of Toamasina (Tamatave), with sustained winds of 150km/h and gusts of 210km/h. The system is moving westward at 17km/h, and will make landfall in the Toamasina II district this afternoon or evening. At time of impact, estimated wind gusts could reach 250km/h. In addition, the storm will generate heavy rainfall (100 to 150 mm/24h), which could cause widespread flooding, flash floods, and landslides along its path. A deterioration of sea conditions is expected starting this afternoon. Please carefully follow the instructions issued by the local authorities.

Yellow Alert (Threat): AMBATOSOA, ANALANJIROFO, ATSINANANA, ALAOTRA MANGORO, ANALAMANGA, BETSIBOKA, BONGOLAVA, ITASY, VAKINANKARATRA, Antalaha, Andapa, Mandritsara and Befandriana Avaratra;
Green Alert (Warning): MELAKY and MENABE.

Actions to Take:
- Monitor the local news for updates.
- Ensure you have sufficient supplies of food, water, and fuel.
- Be prepared to seek shelter.
- Notify friends and family of your safety.
- Make contingency plans to leave.
- Have evacuation plans that do not rely on U.S. Government assistance.
