Demonstration Alert: Warsaw (Poland), Protest Scheduled for April 26

On Sunday, April 26, 2026, a scheduled demonstration and march from 12:00 P.M. to 4:30 P.M. is expected to take place in Warsaw. The march will begin at Parliament and proceed along Jana Matejki Street, turn right onto Al. Ujazdowskie passing in front of the U.S. Embassy at Aleje Ujazdowskie 29/31, continue past Nowy Świat, turn right onto Krakowskie Przedmieście, and conclude at the Presidential Palace.

Police expect approximately 500 to 1,000 participants to take part in the demonstration, which is intended to express frustration with state authorities’ slow progress in introducing a ban on keeping dogs chained. The demonstration is expected to be peaceful, although the possibility of escalation always exists, and it may cause disruptions to traffic along the route. In the event of an emergency, call 1-1-2 for Polish Emergency Services.

Actions to Take:

  • Avoid crowds and demonstrations.
  • Be aware of your surroundings.
  • Keep a low profile.
