Event: Many travelers seeking to depart Zambia to return to the United States have reported unexpected flight cancellations and increasingly limited flight availability. As of March 23, the only remaining commercial option the embassy is aware of to depart Zambia and return to the United States is Ethiopian Airlines. If your travel has been disrupted, please contact your airline.
Travelers should be prepared for travel restrictions to be put into effect with little or no advance notice. U.S. citizens who are considering returning to the United States are urged to work with Ethiopian Airlines immediately to make travel arrangements while flights are still available.
