Demonstration Alert: U.S. Embassy Havana, Cuba (April 30, 2026)

Location: Havana, Cuba

Event: The Cuban regime is planning an event for Friday, May 1, 2026, starting at about 8:00 a.m. in the plaza in front of the U.S. embassy.

Streets near the embassy will be closed to all traffic as early as Thursday evening, April 30, 2026. There may be an increased police presence, traffic detours, and travel disruptions.

The embassy is closed on May 1 due to a local holiday. U.S. citizens with emergencies can call +53-7-839-4100.

• Avoid demonstrations and crowds.

• Stay aware of your surroundings.

• Check local media for breaking news. Be prepared to adjust your plans.
