Health Alert: Jamaica, Repatriation Possibilities April 4-8

The Ministry of Health and Wellness of Jamaica has confirmed 47 cases of COVID-19 in Jamaica.

 

·        International commercial flight options currently exist in Jamaica. U.S. citizens who wish to return to the United States should make commercial arrangements as soon as possible unless they are prepared to remain abroad for an indefinite period.  The U.S. government does not anticipate arranging repatriation flights in Jamaica at this time.

 

·        An island-wide curfew is in effect from April 1to April 8, 2020, from 8:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m. daily.


·        Air and seaports are closed to arriving aircraft and ships, and many airlines have reduced or canceled flights from Jamaica to the United States.
