On January 28, Vietnam confirmed 82 new cases of COVID-19 community transmission in Hai Duong and Quang Ninh, which prompted transportation restrictions and social distancing measures in these provinces. Quang Ninh suspended all road, bus, taxi, and ferry traffic to, from, and within Quang Ninh province from January 28. All flights to and from Van Don Airport have also been suspended for 24 hours.
As of January 28, people in Chi Linh City, Hai Duong are required to remain at home except to buy food or medicine or for an emergency situation. People in Chi Linh are required to wear masks, social distance, and should not gather in groups larger than two. For further information, please visit the Vietnamese government’s website here.
