On February 27, the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) announced one confirmed case of COVID-19 in Lagos. For the most recent number of individuals tested, view the NCDC’s Daily Situation Report here.
There are no restrictions in place in Nigeria as a result of the worldwide COVID-19 outbreak. Travelers to Nigeria are subject to all preexisting health requirements for entry to Nigeria, such as proof of yellow fever vaccination. Travelers may undergo temperature checks upon arrival. Additional screening may also be required.
Passengers arriving in Nigeria who have traveled to China in the last two months or to an area with sustained community transmission of COVID-19 are requested to voluntarily self-quarantine for 14 days and to report any symptoms to CDC Nigeria (NCDC).
The U.S. Centers for Disease Control (CDC) has not issued any COVID-19 Alerts for Nigeria. See NCDC’s web page here.
